He earned his B.A. cum laude at the University of Connecticut, his J.D. at Western New England College, and his LL.M. in taxation at Boston University School of Law. Peter is licensed to practice in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania. He is admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court where he successfully represents clients against the IRS. Peter is a sought-after speaker on issues concerning estate planning and taxation and has been named in Who’s Who in American Law.
Richard Lui, Esq., LL.M., Partner
Attorney Richard Lui has over twenty-three years of legal and management expertise. His ten years of experience as an estate tax attorney at the Internal Revenue Service benefits his clients in his current representations. During the second half of his tenure at the IRS, Richard served as a senior manager and directed a staff of twelve attorneys engaged in the administration of estate, gift, and fiduciary taxes in the New England area. Since entering private practice in 1989, he has been relied upon as a resource and consultant to many of the area’s accounting and legal professionals for his insights and analysis with respect to estate planning and estate tax audit issues. Richard is a graduate of Boston College Law School and has a master’s degree in taxation from the Boston University LL.M. program.
Jonathan Laramie, Attorney
Lisa Wattinne is a legal assistant with a vast array of experience and is invaluable to the firm. Her responsibilities include assisting firm attorneys with document preparation including income, fiduciary, and estate and gift tax returns. Lisa also manages the preparation of probate petitions, inventories, and accounts, as well as Crummey Notices for irrevocable life insurance trusts. She makes ready deeds in the transfer of real estate to trusts and third parties, homesteads, and various recordings at the registry of deeds. Lisa supervises the preparation of various corporate, limited liability company, and limited partnership documents and filings. She maintains close client contact and oversees scheduling and follow-up to be sure all necessary documents are complete, and that clients receive executed document copies in a timely manner. Lisa holds Bachelor of Science from Skidmore College and is a licensed Massachusetts Notary Public.
